About Us
In 1981 Graham Warner started Freightliner® Truck Sales Regina Ltd. with six employees, in one of Canada's deepest recessions on record combined with 20-21% interested rates.
Recognizing that the future held diversification in his vision for the company, that had already started in 1999, with the purchase of a Thomas Built School Bus dealership and a start-up of an American LaFrance Fire Truck dealership, Graham changed the company trade name in 2001 to Warner Industries. Graham loves to tell the reasoning for that decision with a chuckle, "It became real apparent that it was going to be real tough to be taken seriously trying to sell school buses, to school districts when we are named and known as, Freightliner® Truck Sales Regina Ltd.!"
The decision to change the name proved to be spot on, as Warner Industries has gone on to acquire a number of dedicated semi trailer franchises, a school-pupil transportation division, a medical staff transportation division, a commercial towing and rescue division, a nationwide rental/leasing division, and a property holding division all operating under the reputable and diverse shield of Warner Industries.
As Graham quotes, "We may be selling space rockets in the future, and marketing ourselves as Warner Industries allows us that flexibility and opportunity to excel in various brands and products within our core knitting of remaining focused to and within the commercial vehicle industry."
